Christmas Eve at the Zoo!!

How do you get two excited children to burn off some of their Christmas Excitement Energy? Take them to the zoo to hike the hills and see all the animals of course. Going on Christmas Eve allowed the girls to experience several parts of the zoo without large crowds. One such place was the Lory exhibit. Below you can see how popular Tim and his bright orange jacket was with the birds.




Riley was able to get one on her hand. We opted not to buy the food and ended up with birds all over us.


Natalie tried to hold one of the birds. She thought they were pretty cute until one landed on her head. She pouted and fussed about that bird all day long. "I don't like that bird. He got on my head!"

One of the gentlemen leaving gave Riley what was left of his bird food. Natalie brought "baby" along with her to the zoo. We had to wait at many an exhibit for baby to see the animals too.


What a great way to spend the day.
