The Front Yard Saga

Among other things fixed by the builder was the frontyard.  The landscaper came and scraped the frontyard up and relay topsoil and fresh sod.

We watered and followed the directions of not walking on the grass, but apparently some friendly dogs running loose in the neighborhood did not get the memo.  I awoke this past Sunday to the following...

It looked like the whole yard had ripples running through it.

The girls pitched in and helped to repair the damage.  Needless to say they slept well that night.  And our builder sent the landscapers back by to re-roll the yard, it looks like glass now.

House Updates

Here are some pictures of the latest projects on the house.  Below is a picture of the guest bedroom nightstand I found at a warehouse sale for next to nothing and then put a slipcover on the top of it.

Here's a picture of the drapes and the shutter, my mom made for Tim and I, over the window in the playroom.

Weekley finally fixed the backyard drainage problem with a raised rockbed.

It extends over to the side of the house, oh and they put up gutters too!

And the grand finale.... after 8 months.... Tim finally got his office door back.

It's Great To Be 4!!!

This morning Natalie woke up in a great mood.  She is finally 4.  We found out today that Natalie never liked be 3.  She jumped on the bed shouting, "I'm 4! I'm 4! I'm 4!"  She continued her chant throughout the day.

We started the day off with Natalie's field trip to Funtastic Playland, which is an indoor playground.  We then went to a store called Serendipity (like Sam Moon) and found Nat a new wallet and a beautiful $0.99 necklace that is perfect for a 4 year old.  We then went to Bill Miller BBQ with her friend Reagan and had lunch, followed by a haircut.  It was a full day, but not over yet!

Natalie asked to have steak with A1 for her birthday dinner.  So Tim stopped at the grocery store to get somethings to make the night special.  What a delight to watch her see her bouquet of 4 balloons!

Sunday is her birthday party with her friends.  I'll post more pictures then.

100 Days of School

This last Wednesday was the 100th day of school.  Both of the girls were home sick.  Riley was upset since she missed on dressing up as a 100 year old Granny.  She put a great amount of thought into her outfit. She refused to dress as a frumpy old granny so she opted to dress like her Great-Granny B.  She was going to wear a pink shirt with a denim skirt, pink boots, a scarf and a rhinestone pin.  She was also looking for play glasses, but alas the fever hit at 2:30 am.

Natalie was not at her school for the 100 days, but still made these cool glasses....
