We have moved into our house. We just got internet today. I will post more when I have a place to sit and work.

New Pic of House
Here is a picture of the house with the real front door (the only door like it in the neighborhood- so we are told), new shutters and some plants in the beds. It keeps looking better and better. Tomorrow morning we do our walk through. I will let you know how it goes.

We are so excited about moving into a new house- especially one where we are the first people to live there. We have met all of our new neighbors (3 families so far) all seem to be quite nice. We are looking forward to this new move.
Today Tim, with help from Beckton and Jake, unloaded the big truck into storage. We are so tired from doing all of this moving. It will be good to have a few days just to rest.
Thank you to each and everyone of you who have helped us through this transition. We could not have done any of this without your help and support.

The Nomadic McGoverns
Well, we have successfully left the house in San Angelo. Now we sit with a truck full of stuff, two wild children and a dog all locked in a hotel room while it rains cats and dogs. Currently the hotel phones are out and the only working computer is the one in the lobby.
If you know anyone who wants to help us unload a truck tomorrow let me know- we are exhausted and shot. I am hoping for some kind of a break. We will be nomads until the 27th. Then the house should be ready. Hurray!
Sorry if we are out of pocket for a while, but we will let you all know what is happening and our new phone number as soon as we get settled.
Wish us luck and grace to not kill each other.

Celebrating Turning 5!
Today we celebrated Riley's 5th birthday. It was a small gathering of our immediate family, our neighbor Hannah, and Kaci. She is having a class party on Tuesday with a Tinkerbelle cake.

Here she is with all her presents.

Here she is being silly.

Riley is posing in her new outfit from Nana and Pop-Pop and her pink purse from Do-Da.

Here she is doing her Glamour Girl pose.

Whoa who is this Big Kid?

Ingenuity At Work
What to do when your parents are packing an all your toys are in boxes? Create your own toys with what you find laying around, of course.

I affectionately call this the Hillbilly Wagon Elite Series. Please note this model comes with a built in cup holder.

This is our low HP model. The Hillbilly BFE Off-road Racer.

Natalie enjoys her root beer while Riley figures out how to turn the wagon around.

I put this in because I just love my "accidental" photo.

House Update
Here are some new photos Tim took this past Monday of the House. Those are limestone beds being laid in the front. The ones closest in the photo will be 3 levels and the other side will have 2.

This is the bar/island in the Kitchen looking into the Family Room. It will have 3 outlets.

The tile back splash has been installed. This is where the Microwave and my gas stove will go.

This is the whole left after the sink was stolen. Yes, it happens on job sites all the time.

The other side of the flower beds wrapping around the front porch.

Tim and I are going back next week with another load and hope to have some more photos. Friday is our last day in San Angelo. It will be a sad day to leave all our friends here.

Another Year Older
Yes Tomorrow July 8th I will be another year older and a few years closer to 40. I celebrate this momentous occasion by packing.
Spelling Error
Spell check lesson.
Always use your spell check before posting a blog entry. I did not and spelled cynical incorrectly. Thanks for letting me know Tim.

A DREAM COME TRUE.
In this lonely female dominated house, Tim often feels overwhelmed and that all hope of having someone to play catch or rough around with is gone.
But today Tim excitedly called me to the garage today. I didn't know what to think, you would have thought that he found cash stuffed in an old box. Instead, he ran and grabbed a football. He quickly turned saying, "Watch this!"
There with him was Natalie. They had been playing catch with the nerf football. Apparently Natalie threw a perfect left-handed spiral prior to my coming to watch. Our little 2yr old enthusiastically played catch with her daddy. Most of her passes were over 4ft in length.
Tim is so excited. He has someone to play catch with, of course that is if she doesn't have to drop the ball to go put on her tutu to dance.

Non Traditional Fireworks
Happy 4th everyone. Our 4th was rather laid back, mostly due to the fact that Tim and Riley were sick. But did we let that stop us. . .NO! Instead we did our sparklers and parachute bombs in broad daylight.

Tim took charge in his Captains chair while Natalie decided that she did not like the sparklers.

Both girls loved watching Tim set off the parachute bomb and looking for it to come down. Just not the "bomb" part.

Riley did not like the loud bangs.

Natalie learned not to stand down wind of your sparkler. You cannot see the sparks and all the smoke blows in your face.
