Tim had a great Father's Day this year. The girls promised not to fight and Natalie said she would not push any of Riley's buttons to cause fights. They kept their promise. We went out for brunch and then the "Barbie" Club (Tim's gun shooting friends, they call their guns barbie dolls and they need to try different "outfits" on) went to the shooting range. Here he is with the gift the girls got for him, a bucket with peanuts.

The "D" Word
Recently I told the story to Riley of how Tim and I met. She wanted to share this story with her cousin Max. She began to tell him the story and then stopped suddenly, "Mom, I can't tell him the story because there is a bad word in it." I stop and think to myself (I don't recall using any cuss words). "What bad word are you talking about Riley?" She stops and takes a big breath then says, " You know Mom, the "D" word. Daddy called you a Democrat."

Summer
This is Riley on the swing at our end of the spring season soccer celebration. Tim coached Natalie's team and well... Riley did not get to play this season due to her broken arm, but she is excited to return in the fall.
Natalie won several prizes in the soccer contests at the celebration. The most interesting thing that came about this season is Tim realizing he loves coaching the kids. He will be returning to a coaching role in the fall as well.
Here we are celebrating Memorial Day at Lake Medina. We went out with our friends the Mehrens on their boat. We all love hanging out on the lake.
Tim and Nat braved the rocks and went "cliff" jumping together. Riley jumped also but the camera battery died. Bummer.
There was a lot of jumping that day. LOL Well, I am pledging to do better with my blogging this summer and to get back into the swing of keeping you posted on our lives in McGovernland.
