Concrete Staining Step One

Here are few pictures of the first phase of staining the concrete. My Dad is here visiting and helping us out by staining the concrete. I will put up the finished ones soon. He is sealing it today.

The "Boos Store"

Natalie and Dada have something in common according to Natalie. They both like "boos". For those of you who do not know, Natalie calls her pacifier her boo. Natalie was so convinced that Dada's booze were the same as hers that she insisted on going with him to the boo store. When they came back my dad gave me an account of their conversation and experience.

Natalie: Dada, we need to eat dinner out.
Dada: Why?
Natalie: Because Mommy and Daddy are not going to feed me tonight.
Dada: Their not?
Natalie: No they are not, so you need to take me out to eat. Hey, aren't we going to the Boo Store?
Dada: We did. The booze are in bag.
Natalie: That isn't a boo. That's beera!

Here is Natalie with her boo and Dada.

A Visit From the Great Dada

My Dad flew in today for a visit. The girls have not seen him in about a year or longer. In the beginning my Dad commented that Natalie was shy. LOL Oh, he didn't understand that he needed to just let her warm up. Within an hour... she was talking his ear off.

At dinner tonight Natalie put my dad to the test with extensive conversation. The best one heard went as such...

Natalie: Dada, what is that on your face?
Dada: My beard.
Natalie: Santa has one. You look like Santa Claus.
Dada: I do?
Natalie: Yes, Santa came to our house one time.
Dada: He did?
Natalie: Yes it was a long time ago, but he came in our house.
Dada: Yes, well Santa and I are a lot alike, we make to your house once a year.

Nat's New Haircut

For the past six months Natalie has been asking to cut her hair off. She wants it just like mine. I told her she had to convince her Daddy, since he loves her long hair. So she batted her long eyelashes and let her dark brown eyes look like puppy eyes and said, "Daddy, pease, pease let me cut my hair short. Short like Mommy's?" Well that just melted him right then and there. So this past Thursday afternoon I took her from the midst of her nap (its the only time they had an appointment) and took her Cool Cuts 4 Kids. Here she is with the first 5 inches coming off....

Yes, she still has her Boo and I don't care- she is not ready to give it up and I am not ready to deal with her loosing it.

Here she is intensely trying to watch a little girl get her hair shampooed. Natalie is watching all of this through the reflection in the mirror.

Getting the angle just right.

Voila!

She still is talking about her haircut and how much she loves it.
